Our love story began in 2018 in Atlanta at a University of Georgia football viewing party. We were introduced by a mutual friend and immediately hit it off, exchanging numbers before the night ended. Shortly after, James relocated to Texas. When Justin reached out to ask if he could take James out, he was disappointed to realize James no longer lived in Georgia. As fate would have it, Justin ended up traveling to Texas just three months later for work, so we had the chance to reconnect face-to-face. Our first date was on New Year’s Eve, and we both felt the promise of what could be.

For the next 7 months, we navigated dating long distance until Justin was offered a permanent job opportunity in Texas, which he accepted without hesitation. Being in the same city marked a new chapter, making it clear we were building a life together. In August 2020, during a visit to see friends and a tour of the Atlanta Botanic Gardens, Justin surprised James with a proposal and a surprise engagement party. To this day, regularly surprising each other is one of the things we love most about our relationship. We married exactly 3 years after our first date, on New Year’s Eve of 2021. Our wedding was a beautiful representation of our unity, the support from our friends and families, and our adoration for one another.

If you should choose us, this is what we can promise to you and your child. With both of us coming from large families, your child will be raised in a home filled with unconditional love and support. We promise to raise your child in a faith-filled home as our faith is an especially important part of our daily lives. We will consistently provide encouragement and support for your child to explore their interests, hobbies, education, and dreams. We understand that your decision to make an adoption plan for your child is the most significant decision you could ever make. We can imagine that is the most difficult you could ever make, as well.

As you think about the best option for you and your child, we would like you to know that we admire your strength and courage. We want you to know that we will take very seriously the privilege and responsibility of serving as adoptive parents for your baby and that we look forward to sharing our interests and getting involved in whatever they like to do. In addition, we will teach them that being adopted is incredibly special, that it is something to be proud of.

When it comes to adventures, we think about the many places we have been blessed to see, the memories we have created and the trips that have helped shape our lives together. We have sailed across beautiful waters on both Caribbean and Alaskan cruises and visited historic national sites both in the U.S. and abroad. During most recent travels to Europe, we were able to experience grand castles, countryside villages and streets filled with history. We watched the changing of the guards in London, witnessed the bright lights of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and got to stand in places where kings, queens, writers and dreamers once stood.

Each adventure has brought us closer together, yet with every trip we felt that someone was missing. When we imagine the adventures still ahead, we picture sharing them with a child of our own, teaching them the values we’ve discovered along the way: curiosity, courage, kindness, gratitude, and an appreciation for people from every walk of life.

Our suburban neighborhood in Texas offers the perfect balance of small-town living and easy access to a major city. With multiple swimming pools, water park, splash pad, schools for all ages, play areas, and an active community center that hosts monthly events, it’s a vibrant community filled with families.

The moment we stepped into our 4-bedroom house, we knew we were home. Although we purchased it as a new build, we have enjoyed every minute of adding our personality to the details. Our home decor reflects true southern hospitality featuring family portraits throughout. With an open design concept, the kitchen flows into the living/family room, which, along with our backyard, are our favorite places to spend time. We deeply value entertaining and are proud of how warm and welcoming our home feels to anyone who walks through our door. Often, you can find us taking advantage of our beautiful fenced-in backyard, whether playing with our dogs or grilling something delicious for dinner. We love home improvement projects and look forward to our next task: turning our dreams for a nursery into reality.

We are fortunate to have very close relationships with Justin's family. Justin's extended family is huge, as his dad is the oldest of five kids, and he has over thirty-two first cousins. Justin's family all live in Georgia, and in the same town where he grew up.

We do our best to get back there as often as possible, typically every couple of months. We are grateful that his family will be an important part of our child’s life and will benefit from their constant support and love, just like we have.

We are thankful to also have a beautiful relationship with James' family. James has five younger sisters and thirteen nieces and nephews, all of whom live in Georgia also. James' family will cherish every opportunity to be involved in our child’s life.

When we visit, we soak in the goodness of being gathered together for a long meal or celebrating a holiday. One of our favorite meals together when visiting is a low country boil which has been a family tradition since James was young.

We have been together for eight years and married for four. Our family is filled with love, laughter and a dedicated support system. We are both extremely excited at the thought of becoming parents. We have thought long and hard about our desire to grow our family. We have explored many ways to do just that and have decided that adoption is the best fit for us. We are dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing and supportive environment for a child. Our faith and families are especially important to us as well. We both come from large families and know there is an abundance of love that will be showered on a child of our own. In our family, we care deeply for each other and support each other no matter what and we prioritize spending time with family. Additionally, our close friends are treated like family too.

We believe it is important to raise a child with strong ethical values and good Christian standards. In addition to being raised in a faith-filled home, we can commit to providing consistent encouragement and support to explore their interests, hobbies, education and dreams. We promise your child will always know your love and we are open to sending letters and pictures to you in addition to emails, phone calls and visits if you desire. It is important to us that your child understands that being adopted is incredibly special, is something to be proud of and that it is an act of love.
